BIRD WATCHING
ONE EXPERIENCES
Adventures in the soul of the Reserve.
ONE
ES VIVIR BONITO
Add wellness to your day with a unique sensory experience accompanied by colorful feathers and songs. Walk along the Camino Real and the banks of the Palomino River, sacred territories for the Indigenous peoples, spiritual guardians of this sacred mountain.
During this two-hour guided walk, you'll observe around 35 species of birds, both migratory and resident. The route passes through key habitats that are part of a biological corridor recognized for its importance for bird conservation (AICA), making this experience a true encounter with biodiversity.
Learn about the songs, behaviors, and cultural relationships between birds and cultures in the heartland.
I´m Ger, a birdwatching guide in Palomino, La Guajira, where I accompany experiences in the One Santuario nature reserve, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a sacred territory that indigenous peoples call "the Heart of the World."
My work is based on creating authentic connections with the land, using narratives that invite us to observe not only the birds, but also the ecosystems they inhabit and the stories that surround them.
Through a subtle and respectful approach to nature, I share ancestral knowledge that teaches us how birds are present in the weaving, fishing, spirituality, and cultural life of Indigenous communities. Each experience is an opportunity to rediscover our relationship with the land and with birds as masters of natural balance.
I invite you to live this experience with your senses open, to let yourself be guided by the songs of the birds and the voices of the mountains, and to rediscover a deeper and more conscious way of inhabiting the world.
